Job Summary

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION) in the Military Sealift Command (MSC), Total Force Management Program Office (N1) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Job Description

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience analyzing position descriptions to recommend appropriate pay plans, titles, series, and grades. Experience applying basic classification principles and federal regulations to support senior specialists in position classification and management studies. Experience gathering and reviewing information for routine position reviews. Experience providing basic advice and assistance to managers or employees on routine classification related inquiries. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assisting higher level specialists with basic human resources (HR) administrative tasks such as reviewing personnel documents or position descriptions for completion and proper formatting. Experience researching fundamental HR regulations, standard operating procedures, or classification standards under the direct supervision of a senior specialist. Experience assisting in gathering, consolidating, or formatting data used for routine position reviews, organizational reviews, or HR reports. Experience responding to routine, standardized inquiries regarding basic HR policies or procedures using established guidelines.
