Job Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS ENGINEER in the F/A-18 FLEET SUPPORT TEAM, AVIONICS BRANCH of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Job Description

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Managing comprehensive electronic engineering programs, including strategic resource allocation and operational planning; 2) Functioning as a master-level technical authority for complex Avionics, Sensors, Electronic Warfare, and Electrical Power Distribution Systems; 3) Originating novel engineering methodologies and test procedures to solve unprecedented or controversial technical issues; 4) Directing extensive engineering investigations to mitigate critical system deficiencies and prevent catastrophic failures; 5) Formulating certification standards and providing technical mentorship to a professional engineering workforce; and 6) Negotiating with industry partners and organizational leadership to drive program changes.
