You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER in the Navy Fire and emergency Services of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY CENTER CUTLER.
Job Description
Outside applicants claiming VEOA or VRA (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department or brigade, 2) Developing, implementing, or providing training in fire protection and prevention, 3) Operating a variety of firefighter vehicles, apparatuses and equipment, and 4) Providing hazardous material incident response. NOTE: All experience must be demonstrated in your resume. Applicants who are current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service employees: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department or brigade; 2) Operating a variety of firefighter vehicles, apparatuses or equipment; 3) Initiating established medical protocols to perform basic life support and performing non-invasive emergency medical procedures. NOTE: All experience must be demonstrated in your resume. This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter I & II, Fire Officer I & II, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, Driver Operator Pumper, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians- EMT, HAZMAT Awareness, HAZMAT Operations, and Hazardous Materials Incident Commander. These certifications must have been awarded by National Registry, DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications and you have not attached a copy of your transcript or certifications, you will be rated ineligible.
