Job Summary
You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the ), NUC WELDING ENGR & WELDER QUAL BRANCH (Code 138.1), Welding Engineering Division (Code 138), Quality Assurance Office (Code 130) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following Experience providing technical assistance using nuclear welding tools, equipment, and processes for quality nuclear work. Experience interpreting policies, regulations, and engineering criteria. Experience performing quality assurance program requirements on surface ship and submarine systems, including hull, piping, and mechanical components. Experience determining the need for alterations and modifications to existing systems and/or tooling before or during work. Experience performing technical aspects of related engineering fields such as mechanical, electrical, metallurgical, and structural mechanics as applied to welding.
