Job Summary
You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the TEST ENGINEERING DIVISION (CODE 246), of the ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing expert technical/engineering advice in details of system isolation and operation of complex shipboard systems on a variety of conventional and nuclear vessel classes including one-of-a-kind vessels or systems. Experience applying methods and techniques of mechanical and electrical engineering sufficient to consider aspects related to tag out and testing of ship systems. Experience responding to the complete spectrum of technical systems alterations, procedural and administrative changes. Experience applying versatile technical knowledge of the function and capability of the Shipyard to be able to assess or anticipate response to all elements or unusual demands.
