You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the DEPT OF THE NAVY, NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER ACFT DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following qualifiying items: Knowledge of engineering principles and theories applicable to support development of F135 Engine Aircraft Support Equipment (SE) and the process by which SE is acquired. Comprehensive knowledge of SE and SE maintenance philosophy shore based and shipboard. Experience managing programs to provide for the acquisition and delivery of Support Equipment (SE) to existing and new fleet sites. Experience with SE site activation. Knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps Aircraft Maintenance practices ashore and afloat to determine most cost effective means of provide support; knowledge of database systems such as AUTOSERD, SERMIS, SODARR; ability to generate acquisition strategy planning for determination of future SE requirements; knowledge of computers and familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, project schedule and presentation software; Ability to act as the Propulsion Engineering Team Leader; Ability to understand current problems or limitations in the program area and to competently assess the feasibility of proposed improvements. Incumbent applies knowledge and experience to the resolution of novel or obscure F135 Engine SE problems; and to extend and/or modify existing concepts or procedures.
