You will serve as a NAVAL ARCHITECT (STRUCTURAL) in the PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. The location for this position is Garden Island, Australia. ***See Additional Information section below for details***

Job Description

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical direction and serves as a technical advisor for naval architecture/structural engineering requirements on submarine structures for all non-nuclear maintenance. Assist with development and implementation of PHNSY&IMF AUKUS training programs. As a lead provides troubleshooting support for problems that may occur. Provides job estimates for Technical Work Documents including material ordering for each task group instruction. Knowledge of technical authority and shipyard compliance programs/instructions for submarine work.
