Job Description

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Familiar with the repair and maintenance of non-nuclear mechanical/fluid submarine system and components. Able to effectively communicate technical requirements with production shops, ship force, and other engineering activities. Able to provide cost estimates and prepare technical work documents to execute work. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Required to obtain and maintain up to date training, qualification, or certification associated with federal employment, PHNSY&IMP AUKUS command, and technical program requirements applicable to the position.
