Job Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTANT in the Military Sealift Command (MSC), United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Transportation Working Capital Fund (TWCF) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Job Description
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating accounting and auditing operations for the organization. Experience providing leadership and oversight to professional and technical personnel engaged in financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting, fixed asset accounting, and related financial management functions. Experience reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting legislation, appropriation language, and onboarding manager, OSD, DA, GAO, and higher headquarters directives affecting financial management and accounting systems. Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and technical guidance for accounting operations. Experience providing oversight of administrative control of funds and monitoring financial execution to ensure effectiveness, economy, and sound financial practices.
