Job Summary
You will serve as a ARCHITECT in the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) within the Planning, Design and Construction Directorate (PDC) of NAVAL FAC ENGR CMD EUROPE SW ASIA, Capodichino, Italy.
Job Description
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing knowledge of architectural concepts, theories, principles, practices, and techniques to plan, design, manage, construct, oversee, and maintain a wide range of shore installation facilities projects; 2) Performing technical reviews of architectural designs, calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates prepared by other architects and engineers for adequacy; 3) Ensuring facilities are designed and constructed utilizing sound design practices and that they satisfy safety and architectural standards; 4) Planning, coordinating, and directing multi-design projects and services for command facilities; and 5) Preparing architectural design drawings, calculations, and specifications on architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD and Specs Intact).
