Job Summary

This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. The incumbent will work in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) serving as a technical authority, responsible for the entire audit lifecycle-from formulating original audit approaches for novel problems to interpreting obscure or conflicting laws and regulations. Their work involves resolving long-standing problem areas of vital importance to the agency and directing resources.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-14: You must have at least one year of experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes: Plan and conduct a variety of audits using analyses and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) auditing techniques to solve a variety of problems.AND Review corrective actions on prior audit findings and evaluate the adequacy of those actions.AND Plan and execute Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) audits of a complex non-routine nature. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following requirements, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F): Time-in-Grade: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
