You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer/Architect in the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Job Description

Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. Do you meet this requirement? Note - if you respond "YES", you must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. The registration must show the date of currency or additional documentation must be provided from the registration agency showing the dates the registration is current. A copy of a wall certificate that does not show current registration status will not serve to verify you meet this requirement. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Manages overall requirement in administering construction contracts in developing project scopes, cost estimates, and/or design builds/request for proposals; 2) Provides subject matter expert-level guidance to engineers, architects and technicians on architectural and engineering methods during the design and construction period of project (i.e, acquisitions strategies, pre-construction conferences, constructability reviews); 3) Monitors quality assurance and safety compliance with plans and specifications; and 4) Evaluates facility construction workload against critical priorities to develop creative, technically sound solutions to problems not remedied by standard, pre-defined processes.
