You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SHIPYARD PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT in the Welding Shop (Code 926), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience serving as the highest technical authority for all trade matters relating to production planning, processes and techniques for the trades of the shop. Experience displaying effective and efficient management of the shop's personnel, facilities, equipment, and resources, and effecting intra and inter shop coordination to the degree and level necessary for accomplishment of work to meet established work schedules or requirements and quality control standards. Experience preparing/submitting proposed budgets for future fiscal year demands based on projected workload. Experience utilizing comprehensive knowledge of all phases of nuclear and non-nuclear surface or submarine ship repair and overhaul, and shipyard work operations coupled with detailed and specific knowledge of all aspects of the cognizant trade operations.
