Job Summary
You will serve as a FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Engineering, Facilities and Safety Division Chief under the Administration and Logistics Directorate (11) of NCIS. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This job opportunity announcement has a first cut-off of 50 applicants. Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, estimating, scheduling, evaluating, and overseeing facility projects. Analyzing and developing projects in terms of the impact on resource requirements and developing new and/or revised operating procedures and standards. Advising and recommending solutions on all facility related issues. Managing facilities space planning, space assignment, space evaluation, and utilization. Planning for future expansion in accordance with the future changing needs of NCIS personnel and requirements. Reviewing and coordinating detailed and comprehensive cost estimates, project funding, bid evaluations, and construction estimates in support of facilities management operations. Correcting all emergent life threatening or anticipated degradation to NCIS infrastructure discrepancies within their authority and capabilities. Minor workspace reconfiguring, including mounting new equipment (e.g., television monitors, smart boards, bulletin boards), and conducting minor workspace infrastructure modifications or repairs. Assisting in conducting periodic inspections and emergency evacuation procedures and drills.
