Job Description

SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. If you meet this requirement, you must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. A copy of a wall certificate that does not show your current registration status will not serve to verify you meet this requirement. In addition to the SPF and basic requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Reviewing and approving contractor administrative submittals, managing and ensuring timely responses to requests for information from contractors; 2) Monitoring project budget and time constraints, including costs and schedule growth metrics and initiating appropriate planning and corrective action to ensure funding thresholds and impacts to operational needs are not exceeded. 3) Using knowledge of construction methods and techniques to coordinate delivery, acceptance, inspection, and installation of Government furnished and collateral equipment (i.e. phone and data lines), and preparing property record inventory and transfer documents, contract close-out and ensuring receipt of as-built drawings, operating manuals, and warranty documents; and 4) Reviewing and monitoring Contractor's construction progress through assist visits and provide technical solutions to problems arising during construction.
