You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGER in the Comptroller Department (Code 600) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience implementing and directing large scale financial management programs; Experience performing analysis and providing operational direction within the structure of a complex mission and a thorough working knowledge of Mission Funding policies and practices, a general knowledge of the Working Capital Fund, and a thorough knowledge of the composite funding of activities involved with reimbursable work; Experience providing advice, assistance, and technical guidance to a commander and other departmental management officials on financial management policies and programs; Experience applying a high level of sound, independent judgment in solving financial problems, with incomplete information; Experience communicating ideas clearly, both orally and in writing; Experience in understanding production, supply, finance, and personnel management systems.
