Job Summary

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Finance Department (Code 600), Mission Budgeting (Code 611) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR (MARMC).

Job Description

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience independently performing a wide range of analytical and technical functions for substantive programs. This includes developing, formulating, and defending budget estimates, and resolving complex budgetary problems like funding changes or developing alternative funding methods. Experience managing all aspects of funding for multiple appropriation types (e.g., no-year, multi-year, current year). This includes receiving, recording, adjusting, and reconciling commitments, obligations, and expenditures in official financial systems. Experience utilizing various financial management systems to perform duties. This requires extensive knowledge of systems such as COST and N-ERP to process transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate reports. Experience applying a comprehensive, detailed knowledge of budgetary and financial policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations to analyze and interpret financial data, advise program managers, and ensure compliance. Experience reviewing, validating, processing, and reconciling a high volume of requisitions and funding documents in accordance with higher echelon guidance and internal policies. Experience completing various budget exhibits and reports (e.g., PRESBUD, Mid-Year Review) and providing timely, accurate responses to internal and external audit requests. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assisting in the formulation of budgets and estimates to support plans and programs and participating in the review and evaluation of budget requests. Experience performing specialized work involving the management and control of funds, tracking obligations and expenditures, and using accounting systems to manage financial resources. Experience analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management, implementing budgetary controls, and preparing financial summaries for managers.
