Job Summary

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Dry Dock Certification Office (Code 1582), Infrastructure Revitalization and Readiness, Code 1580, of the Naval Shipyard Support Office (NSSO), (Code 1500) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in Engineering Safety and Quality with specific focus on drydock technology. Experience enabling evaluation of design and structural mechanical and electrical systems to quality standards. Experience overseeing quality assurance activities conducted in Navy dry docking facilities related to ship repair, maintenance and overhaul. Experience assisting and conducting maintenance program audits of dry-docking, material surveys, operational testing and maintenance of training, operational procedures affecting ship safety.
