You will serve as a Crane Operator Supervisor I in the Crane Operations Division, Public Works Department Norfolk of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Job Description

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Planning daily or project work schedules and the use of various weight-handling equipment, including floating cranes, mobile cranes, construction equipment, trailers, and trucks; 2) Planning use of heavy equipment, rigging personnel, facilities, and materials on a daily basis; 3) Establishing deadlines and priorities based on general work schedules, methods and policies established pertaining to customer demand, material availability and manpower; 4) Recommending changes to priorities/work sequences and making minor deviations as needed to overcome problems, such as weight handling equipment failure and material delays.
