You will serve as an Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Architect in the Programs & Project Management Division, Planning Design & Construction Directorate of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.

Job Description

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or a Registered Architect (RA). Your license or registration must be held in any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current license or registration with your application package. A copy of a wall certificate that does not have an expiration date will not serve to verify this requirement. In addition to the SPF and the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing consultative services on cost engineering issues for the entire range of architectural and engineering activities related to facilities design and construction; 2) Providing recommendations on complicated issues and problems that require new applications or development in cost engineering to resolve unique problems; 3) Executing project cost estimates for design, construction, and maintenance of shore based facilities; 4) Conducting studies and analysis of requirements for cost, labor, and/or materials; 5) Using software products, such as Parametric Cost Engineering System Software (PACES), Micro-Computer Aided Cost Estimating Systems (MCACES), and other computer systems and software.
