Job Summary
You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEM INTEGRATION DIVISION, MODERNIZATION and INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary for this position is capped at GS-13, step 10. ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: Establishes and maintains relationships with key individuals or groups. Builds consensus through give and take; gains cooperation from others to obtain information, find solutions, and accomplish goals. Demonstrates ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences. Makes clear and convincing oral presentations. Listens effectively; clarifies information as needed. Applies principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing engineering projects and resources, including technical performance. Planning and directing the installation of complex systems and associated facilities, particularly where there are site selection and construction problems, dealings with contractors and public utilities, and the possible need to modify equipment for novel site characteristics. Applies knowledge of ship, aircraft, or equipment maintenance to plan, schedule, control, and perform modernization or maintenance in a manner that will keep the ship, aircraft, equipment, device, or system in working order or prevent trouble from arising to ensure maximum operational readiness. Analyzing and diagnosing faults in the operational configuration of electronic systems and equipment. Interpreting circuit wiring, logic cable diagrams, drawings, specifications, and schematics of complete systems and equipment to understand the function and interconnections of the various assemblies and troubleshoot the system.
