Job Summary

You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIR SPECIALIST in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY of CHINFO WASHINGTON DC. **This is an obligated position. The former incumbent has return rights to this position under PL 86-585.

Job Description

For GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: You will be responsible for helping to oversee all Navy Community Outreach and Directorate activities. You will help manage external public affairs programs. You will help ensure that the department's community outreach policy is carried out effectively. You will be responsible for helping to conceptualize, update, plan, and execute the Navy's Annual Community Outreach Plan. You will help advise Navy commands when filmmakers, production companies and entertainment media request support for their projects from the Navy.
