You will serve as a SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT) in the FLEET READINESS CENTER MID ATLANTIC of FRC SE DET MIDLANT OCEANA.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: 1) Performing metal repair and modifying aircraft sheet metal structures and components; 2) Fabricating, assembling, and repairing aircraft structures utilizing sheet metal materials; 3) Examining the extent of damage to determine sequence of operations necessary to affect repairs or replacements; 4) Operating complex hand and power machines such as slip roll forming machines, box and pan breaks to repair sheet metal components; and 5) Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, etc. to perform repair of sheet metal components . I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
