You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY GENERAL ENGINEER/ARCHITECT in the PLANNING, DESIGN, AND CONSTRUCTION DIVISION of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Job Description

This position has a selective placement factor for the GS-13 position that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor for GS-13 is: Possession of a current Professional Engineer License or Architectural Registration in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. (Note: You must submit a copy of the License/Registration with your application package.) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Leading project teams with responsibility to coordinate and manage scope, schedule, and budget for facilities design and construction; 2) Coordinating all phases of facilities design and construction independently within constraints and stakeholder requirements; 3)Facilitating sensitive stakeholder discussions and resolution of complex problem exercising sound judgement; 4) Developing, monitoring, and controlling schedules in coordination with stakeholders requirements and commitments; 5) Tracking and reporting project status using enterprise project management software tools, scheduled reports and briefings, and unscheduled data calls; and 6) Coordinating the development and implementation of project acquisition plans in alignment with enterprise goals, legal constraints and best practices.
