Job Summary
You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OA) in theSECURITY DEPARTMENT of NAVY WARFARE DEVELOPMENT CENTER.
Job Description
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS=04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing clerical and assistant tasks in support of personnel, physical, information, and industrial security programs. Experience working with personnel security forms or letters, such as: the SF-312 (Standard Form-Non-Disclosure Agreement), the DD-254 (Contract Security Classification Specification), and computer-based programs used for processing personnel investigations and clearance requests such as the Contractor Verification System (CVS) and the Defense Information Security System (DISS). Experience analyzing and evaluating reports of investigations including those containing conflicting information or evidence. Experience using data processing techniques and computer operations needed to maintain security related databases. Experience using correct format needed for the preparation for Navy messages and official correspondence. The employee must be proficient in typing and word processing skills. Experience using correct grammar, accurate spelling and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
