Job Description

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION 1) Examine, evaluate, and analyze the condition of aircraft, aircraft engines, and their components and accessories to determine the depth of overhaul required for the particular aircraft and engines, including as a paramount requirement, sufficient skill in and knowledge of the trades and labor work performed as it pertains to Aircraft Mechanic, Sheet Metal Mechanic, Composite/Plastic Fabricator, Aircraft Electrician and Electronics Mechanic trades. 2) Determine general condition, prescribes extent of disassembly, and specifies any departures to be made from standard overhaul process. 3) Performs minor trade work to facilitate inspections & evaluations. Complies with all required processes and instructions for proper documentation of aviation maintenance, removals, FOD free and prior-to-closure inspections, and all other quality and safety requirements as applicable.
