Job Summary

You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Pipe Shop (Code 960), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901) Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying practical knowledge of various training methods, procedures, devices, and resource and performing research to develop and maintain a broad knowledge of all phases of employee development and training Experience developing, initiating, scheduling, and implementing programs for the development of personnel through Continuing Training and Development Program. Experience understanding trade standard operating procedures, NAVSEA instructions, shipyard and shop polices and instructions for non-nuclear ship repair projects. Experience conducting audits of shop trade theory/core tasks records and qualification records for conformance with established guidelines. Experience maintaining a comprehensive electronic (PDF or Word) file of Mechanic Training Folders (CTD Related) to include training taken, attribute sheets, date started, and date completed. Experience conducting classes in which they are the lead instructor/facilitator.
