Job Summary
You will serve as the QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the NON-CNO OVERSIGHT (CODE 131C); CAQAP AUDITS AND PROCESS CONTROL (CODE 132), QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGEMENT (CODE 130A), QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPT (CODE 130), NAVAL BASE, NORFOLK VA. MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Job Description
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience leading the critical review of complex work specifications and contract documents to ensure all quality requirements are appropriately specified and met. Experience assisting a subject matter expert in interpreting and applying NAVSEA Standard Items, ISO 9000 quality systems, and various military and industrial standards to guide complex manufacturing and repair. Experience overseeing quality assurance for the repair and maintenance of shipboard hull, machinery, and subsystems, leveraging an advanced understanding of component relationships and specialized test equipment. Experience strategically developing and implementing command-wide quality assurance instructions and programs based on higher-level NAVSEA requirements and directives. Experience performing as the lead technical expert in comprehensive quality audits of facilities and personnel, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement. Experience negotiating and resolving complex quality assurance disputes with contractors and providing authoritative past-performance data to contracting officers to inform future contract awards. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience reviewing work specifications and contract documents against established checklists to verify that quality requirements are included. Experience applying and maintaining documentation related to Navy contract clauses, ship specifications, ISO 9000 requirements, and other military or commercial standards under supervision. Experience supporting quality assurance activities for shipboard hull and machinery repair, including the use of standard inspection and test equipment to validate work. Experience assisting in the implementation of command quality assurance instructions by applying established NAVSEA requirements to daily tasks. Experience participating in quality audits by inspecting processes and personnel to ensure compliance with documented procedures and standards. Experience collecting and providing quality assurance data to senior personnel to support the evaluation of contractor performance.
