Job Summary
You will serve as a Traffic Management Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience of transportation systems to include transportation and distribution sufficient to monitor the transportation and distribution of cargo in support of worldwide operational readiness; 2) Must possess knowledge of transportation traffic management mode selections, documentation, channels, codes, systems, and procedures, and knowledge of differences between surface and air transportation modes; 3) Incumbent must have knowledge of and understanding of cargo receipt, storage, special handling, loading and/or off-loading equipment, and related cargo processing sufficient to inspect, review and process cargo using GFM, GATES, SYNCADA and additional DTS processes, or similar type systems; 4) Ability to analyze and obtain data from various transportation systems to document and address discrepancies in shipment and cargo and take corrective action(s) if necessary; 5) Reviewing and analyzing shipping records and operational reports to ensure shipments are completed correctly and in compliance with applicable regulations and procedures; 6) Conducting assessments to identify problems or inefficiencies and recommends improvements to processes, policies, and procedures when needed.
