Job Summary

You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Engineering Department of NIWC ATLANTIC as the Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) Service Area Chief.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NO-05 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leads AND/OR directs defensive cybersecurity operations by developing strategies, managing resources, monitoring threats, coordinating with stakeholders, implementing security measures, fostering innovation, AND/OR ensuring reliable protection of data and information systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. 1. Attention to Detail: You demonstrate meticulous attention to detail by monitoring network activity, analyzing security incidents, and implementing robust cybersecurity measures to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of critical information systems. 2. Customer Service: You provide exceptional customer service by engaging with senior Department of Defense leaders, government agencies, industry, and academic partners to deliver high-quality cybersecurity services and share threat intelligence effectively. 3. Oral Communication: You exhibit strong oral communication skills by presenting cybersecurity strategies, coordinating with stakeholders, briefing senior leaders, and fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners. 4. Problem Solving: You apply advanced problem-solving skills by proactively detecting and responding to malicious activity, managing security tools, resolving operational challenges, and developing innovative solutions to enhance cybersecurity posture.
