Job Summary
You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Weapons Systems Branch (Code 292), Combat Systems Division (Code 290), Non Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing the practical application of mechanical, electronics, and electrical engineering principles to planning, production, and functional checkout of Combat Systems equipment and components. Experience and technical knowledge of nuclear aircraft carrier, surface combatant and/or submarine Combat Systems Equipment and components. Experience implementing basic knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals. Experience identifying and resolving changing work situations. Experience monitoring Cost and Schedule Performance and taking actions to correct negative trends.
