Job Summary

You will serve as an INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST in the Facilities Engineering Branch (Code 1460.2), Technical Support Division (Code 1460), Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) (Code 1400) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Job Description

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing technical expertise on the sustainment and modernization of industrial facility infrastructure and systems to maintain operational efficiency and compliance; Experience coordinating with contractors, service providers, other departments, and governmental agencies to manage facility related projects; Experience conducting quality assurance on drawings, specifications, and cost estimates relating to routine maintenance, emergent repair, and overhaul of industrial building systems; Experience managing, planning and executing assigned projects and maintaining accountability during project lifecycle; Experience applying practical knowledge and gathering pertinent data when developing project scope of work and technical documents. GS-11. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assisting with providing technical guidance on the sustainment and modernization of industrial facility infrastructure and systems; Experience conducting quality assurance on drawings, specifications, and cost estimates relating to routine maintenance, emergent repair, and overhaul of industrial building systems; Experience assisting with planning and executing assigned projects and maintaining accountability during project lifecycle; Experience applying practical knowledge and gathering pertinent data when developing project scope of work and technical documents; Experience understanding the principles and techniques of industrial plant operations and progress analysis.
