Job Summary
You will serve as a FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the REGIONAL FIRE RESCUE DIRECTORATE of NAS OCEANA.
Job Description
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrated history of sound tactical decision-making and good judgement, 2) Demonstrated history of effective, professional, and outgoing customer service and interaction with the command, general public, and stakeholders, 3) Demonstrated experience delivering accurate, effective, and professional oral and written communications, particularly internal communications, procedures, and correspondence, 4) Operates as a team member in group instruction and certification initiatives such as regional fire academy's and agency group instructional needs. GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Manage training evolutions involving fire suppression, EMS operations and response to HAZMAT incidents, 2) Evaluate the performance in the delivery of BLS and ALS including supervision of ground ambulance transportation service, 3) Facilitate training on detecting, reducing, or eliminating of potential fire hazards, 4) Demonstrates history of leading others and working as member of a team to accomplish emergency and non-emergency objectives.
