Job Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/OCEANOGRAPHER in the GEOSPATIAL-INTELLIGENCE (GEOINT) ANALYSIS DIVISION, WARFIGHTING SUPPORT CENTER, FULL SPECTRUM GEOINT BRANCH of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Job Description
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Mastery experience with scientific concepts, theories, principles and practices of oceanography and or related scientific fields to include imagery analysis, remote sensing or other physical science. Experience with computer science and remote sensing to plan, manage, review and assume responsibilities for technical functions of an organization. Extensive Experience with remote sensing and image analysis applications to oceanography, products produced from remotely sensed data or from data fusion techniques, their utility to military operations, sensors, weapon systems, tactics, critical METOC thresholds and other limitations placed by the natural environment, and military customer requirements. Experience with policies and practices of supervision and personnel management to motivate, train and work effectively with subordinates accomplishing assigned tasks within set limits of time.
