Job Summary
You will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist in the People and Processes Division, Acquisition Support Line, of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Atlantic, located in Norfolk, Virginia. The organizational title of this position is "Director, People and Processes Division."
Job Description
In addition to the basic requirements for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Developing, executing, and administrating contracts in support of an extensive range of supplies and services related to design, construction, Architect-Engineer, maintenance, and environmental engineering for shore facilities; 2) Managing and motivating groups of contracting/procurement personnel towards organizational goal accomplishment, including setting priorities, work assignments, and assuring quality products are provided in a timely manner; and 3) Advising all stakeholders on overall business-line acquisition strategy, contract policy interpretation, contact price proposal, solicitation, negotiation, administration, and termination of contracts.
