This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE by 1) Leading and directing Electricians, Air-Conditioning Mechanics, Heating/Boiler Plant Equipment Mechanics, Industrial Equipment Mechanics, Electronics Mechanics, Sheet Metal Mechanics, or Welders in proper work methods; 2) Instructing others in planning, laying out, and completing installation, modification, and repair of systems; 3) Ensuring works properly interpret building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering documents, drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to plan work and make calculations; 4) Motivating and leading other workers in accomplishing work of the unit; and 5) Briefing supervisor on accomplishment of work objectives and work status.
