Job Summary

You will serve as the Headquarters Director of the, Environmental Planning and Conservation Branch in the Environmental Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Job Description

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) if applying for the 0819 series. Your license, registration, or certification must be held in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current license, registration, or certification with your application package. In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a project manager for Navy environmental planning, natural resources, and/or cultural resources projects, such as development of contractor scopes of work/performance work statements, government estimates, funds management, contractor proposal review and negotiation, contractor oversight, invoicing, and contracting officer representative (COR) duties; 2) Providing guidance, coordination and technical expertise on Navy environmental planning, natural resources, and cultural resource issues and 3) Ensuring compliance with Federal, state, and local laws and regulations, DON and DOW policies related to environmental planning, natural resources, and cultural resources management.
