Job Summary
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION) in the Business and Strategic Planning Office (C1200), Business Operations Division (C1220) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Job Description
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience applying a wide range of classification and position management concepts, practices, laws, policies, rules, regulations, and procedures in performing a variety of difficult and complex classification assignments. - Experience conducting strategic thinking and analyzing data and information from several sources to reach conclusions. - Experience providing advice and guidance to managers and junior specialists regarding complex classification issues. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience preparing and reviewing positions and job descriptions. - Experience locating, interpreting, analyzing and applying classification standards and guides. - Experience analyzing and anticipating potential problems to recommend preventative actions. - Experience providing written and verbal communication to research and present findings.
