You will serve as an AIRFIELD SPECIALIST within the Air Operations Department in the of NB CORONADO ALF SAN CLEM.

For outside applicants claiming VEOA, VRA, E.O. 13473 (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting the Airfield Manager (AFM) in managing Airfield Management Division administrative processes, and developing organizational goals and objectives in support of installation/region management; 2) Applying Navy airfield laws, regulations, requirements and practices/procedures to assist with airfield inspections of runway conditions, facilities, and construction projects to identify airfield problems, develop solutions, and coordinate corrective actions with personnel; 3) Applying engineering and contractual principles and procedures pertaining to airfield pavement to monitor construction, repairs, and operations on the airfield and ensure safe and secure environment; 4) Assigning work to subordinates in accordance with airfield priorities. **NOTE: Experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for this position.** For applicants who are current or prior Federal competitive service employee: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
