You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the MATERIAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying practical knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, methodologies, regulations, policies, and instructions related to all aspects of Retail Supply Services, performance reporting, inventory reporting, reporting and audit responses, and supply logistics. Examples may include some or all of the following: 1) Preparing surveillance reports and noting performance deficiencies, documenting deficiencies and initiating causative research; 2) Maintaining various records to analyze trends, meet Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements, and determine results of the Retail Supply Service Provider's (RSSP) performance; 3) Applying data gathering, surveying methods and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) process improvement concepts; 4) Interpreting and adapting standard guidelines to unique or changing situations; 5) Performing special and unscheduled inventories including, but not limited to, inventory of classified items stowed, paperwork supporting Direct Turn Over (DTO), flight clothing audits, Not In Stock (NIS) deficiencies, and locating incorrectly stowed material or over issues; 6) Applying working knowledge of the technical aspects of the services covered by warehouse contracts and within the technical exhibits in order to recognize, document, evaluate, and investigate deficiencies in contractor performance.
