Job Summary
You will serve as an Industrial Hygienist in the Occupational Safety and Health Division (Code 106.1) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Job Description
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Industrial Hygienist, ensuring adequate industrial health controls to eliminate or prevent occupational health hazards, for the safety, health, and comfort of shipyard workers. Examples of qualifying specialized experience may include: responsibility for programs where workers are exposed to a wide variety of hazards including chemical, physical, biological; conducting industrial hygiene sampling using photoionization detectors, gas detectors, air sampling pumps, noise dosimetry, velocity meters, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation monitors, or other state of the art monitoring equipment.
