You will serve as a Transportation Assistant in the Industrial Support Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal Service applying a body of standardized transportation regulations, procedures and operations to perform a full range of duties including selecting modes or carriers, consolidating shipments, coordinating connections, responding to inquiries and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the movement process when moving a variety of high valued freight and commodities, classified materials and/or hazardous and dangerous commodities which require specialized handling. Must possess proficiency in using a computer terminal and an automated transportation system and software to input, extract and create new files, reports and documents. The skill of a qualified typing is required.
