You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER of Training at NAVSUBASE KINGSBAY.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1 Written Communication: Coordinating and supervising the day-to-day delivery of the department's training schedule. Serving as the lead instructor for various core and specialized subjects to ensure training is delivered according to the established curriculum., 2. Developing Others: Delivering and evaluating hands-on training for high-risk events, including shipboard firefighting, nuclear reactor emergencies, and radiological emergencies. Assisting the Assistant Fire Chief of Training in refining curriculum and practical drills for these specialties., 3. Specialized Hazard Response Proficiency: Using specialized principles and techniques to perform and evaluate fire protection and emergency responses during shipboard firefighting., 4. Specialized Hazard Response Proficiency: Using specialized principles and techniques to perform and evaluate fire protection and emergency response to nuclear reactor - radiological emergencies. 5. Specialized Hazard Response Proficiency: Using specialized principles and techniques to perform and evaluate fire protection and emergency response to nuclear surety and ordinance emergencies. This position requires the incumbent to possess & provide the following certifications: Fire Officer I and II, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, Firefighter I and II, Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Hazmat Incident Commander, Hazmat Technician, Driver/ Operator Pumper, Driver/ Operator Aerial. Also requires National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) and Marine Firefighter Certification. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications, and provide verification with your application, you will be rated ineligible.
