You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER in the Materials Branch (Code 1410.3), of the Business Operations Division (Code 1410), in the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) (Code 1400), at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania a detachment of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION Ability to read and prepare shipping documents and perform inspections of incoming shipments to check for damage and compliance with technical requirements. Ability to operate manual material, handling equipment and forklifts rated at 30,000 lbs. capacity. Ability to understand warehousing rules, regulations, policies and procedures, including fork truck operation and vehicles' safety requirements. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and orally and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to log, receipt, track, ship, and perform inventory of materials using a computer.
