You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the Propulsion Plant Machinery & Planning Yard (Code 266), Mechanical Engineering and Planning Division (Code 260), Office o f Chief Engineer (Code 240), Engineering and Planning Department (200), ofNORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying mechanical engineering concepts, principles, methods, precedents and techniques as it pertains to Naval main propulsion machinery, auxiliary machinery, and related mechanical system Experience in administrative supervisory functions, such as making plans, assigning work, setting objectives, and policy and procedure development. Experience in temporary service systems, and programs such as Level I, and Steam Plan Cleanliness. Experience in design and technical knowledge of engineering aspects as it relates to Nuclear Propulsion Plant Maintenance and Construction.
