Job Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the Chief Test Engineering Branch (Code 2340.7) in the Nuclear Engineering Division (Code 2340) of the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department (Code 2300) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience maintaining STE duties and qualifications for a minimum of two years, including prior STE qualification and successful completion of the first requalification at the GS-12 grade level. Experience completing either the STS, Nuclear Work Control Senior Mentor or PACTE Qualification Card. Experience maintaining STE qualification in accordance with NAVSEA 08 requirements. Experience organizing and leading teams to plan and execute complex projects, resolve highly complex technical issues, and integrate the work of several support organizations to meet schedule dates. Experience utilizing expert knowledge of Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facilities, NAVSEA and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program organizations. Experience utilizing expert knowledge of Nuclear Engineering associated with Nuclear and Non-Nuclear ship repair, conversion and maintenance. Experience demonstrating knowledge of collective bargaining agreement affecting assigned area of responsibility and workforce.
