Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Supervises a crew of 3 or more firefighters, including at least one firefighter assigned to staff a major piece of motorized firefighting apparatus such as a pumper, aerial truck, ambulance or airport rescue firefighting in support of their assigned duties; trains firefighters in hose evaluations, technical rescue work, fire inspections pre fire planning, forcible entry, salvage and overhaul work. Certifications: This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter I and II, Fire Officer I, Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, Airport Firefighter, Hazmat Awareness, Operations, Technician, and Hazmat Incident Command, Driver Operator Pumper. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. Also requires National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT).
