Job Description
GS-12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of (52) weeks of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing contracting services such as pre-award and post-award functions including planning, soliciting, evaluating, cost/price analysis, negotiating and administering contracts cradle to grave. Experience planning acquisitions for standard or specialized services and commodities within established competitive markets, and where price competition exists utilizing Performance Work Statements and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans. Experience determining appropriate contract type and method of procurement based on the nature of service required, urgency of need, estimated cost, market conditions, and applicable procurement policies and regulations. Experience performing market research, reviews specifications and statements of work, and established acquisition milestone plans. In addition to meeting the basic educational requirements below, applicants must have at least two years of experience in contracting positions; and have completed all contracting courses required for a contracting officer for positions at the level and grade at which the person is serving.
