You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the NAVFAC FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND ACQUISITION DIVISION of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Plan, define, develop, and document quality requirements for products, services, processes, and systems that are suitable to the activity, proportional to the risk, and consistent with established Agency guidance, practices, and standards.2) Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information; organizes and maintains information or information management systems. Determines its importance and accuracy, and communicates it by a variety of methods.3) Applies principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing engineering projects and resources, including technical performance. Applies policy, guidance, and plans. Monitor to ensure consistency and compliance. Understands and interprets technical material, rules, regulations, and instructions; applies to specific situations. Applies knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines and how they relate to each other and the system to achieve system performance. Identify pre and post acceptance testing on a specified product to ensure its safety, effectiveness, suitability, and survivability in an operational environment. Identify and document vulnerabilities and threats to minimize the risk or reduce the severity or probability of occurrence.4) Conveys written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Expresses thoughts persuasively and uses effective modes to reinforce message retention. Demonstrates ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences. Makes clear and convincing oral presentations. Listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.5) Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. Critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems, and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders.
