Job Description
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Current professional registration as a Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or Certified Planner. You must submit a copy of your license with your application to be considered. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing principles, concepts, theories and practices of civil engineering and industrial engineering; 2) Analyzing engineering proposals, drawings, specifications, etc. used in the design, construction and alteration of facilities, while providing technical advice to others for assigned projects; 3) Utilizing knowledge of community planning methods and techniques to provide technical advice to others in the design, construction and alteration of facilities; 4) Formulating and executing a budget and government accounting rules and regulations; and 5) Planning, programming, and funding the repair, maintenance, alteration, and construction of real property facilities.
